‘Congress focuses on chicken sandwiches for Delhi leaders’: Hardik Patel

Patidar youth leader Hardik Patel has announced his decision to leave the Gujarat Congress unit on Twitter. Patel shared his resignation letter and tweeted in Hindi, “Today, I am boldly resigning from the post of Congress party and the primary membership of the party. I am sure that my decision will be welcomed by all my colleagues and the people of Gujarat. I believe that after this step of mine, I will be able to work really positively for Gujarat in the future. ”

Patel wrote in his resignation letter, “It is unfortunate that workers like us, who travel 500-600 kms a day in our cars to meet people, find that the big leaders of Gujarat Congress are far from the problems of Gujarat. But the leaders from Delhi. We are more focused on making sure the chicken sandwiches are delivered on time! ”

He further wrote that Gujaratis will never forget that the Congress party insulted Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, known as the Iron Man of India. Patel further said that since the Grand Old Party has broken the trust of the youth, the youth do not want to be associated with it as activists or voters.

In his resignation letter, the Patidar leader also supported the current central government’s policies such as repealing section 370, constructing a Ram temple in Ayodhya and imposing goods and services tax. “Whether it is Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, repeal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, implementation of GST. India has long wanted a solution to these issues and the Congress has only acted as a hindrance and has always been a hindrance,” he said.

‘It was my responsibility as a human being’: Crane operator who rescued 50 people

Crane operator Dayanand Tiwari is considered by many to be no less than the ‘Messiah’ whom he rescued from the Mundkar building in outer Delhi, where a huge fire last week killed at least 27 people and injured many more.

The 45-year-old, who was crossing the building with his brother that day, decided not to wait for the fire tender to arrive and took the matter into his own hands, rescuing more than 50 people trapped in the blaze.

“It was my duty as a human being to help others,” Dayananda was asked when what motivated him to carry out the rescue operation early in the fire.

The blaze, the worst in recent years, has spread to a four-storey building in Mundka.

Recalling that day, Dayananda said that while crossing the area after working all day, he and his brother Anil Tiwari saw smoke coming out of the building and people were terrified.

Tiwari also noticed that some people were trying to help those trapped in the building.

At this point, he also decided not to wait for the fire tender and to help the stranded people.

“I was with my brother Anil Tiwari. We were coming after a day’s work. I saw smoke rising (from the building) and people shouting. Anil and I decided to go there and try to do something but the traffic was slow due to the fire, so we broke the divider and reached the place, ”said Dayanand.

There was no way to escape so with the help of a crane I smashed the glass panels of the building, he said.

“Then we were able to bring in a batch of four or six people. We were able to save 50 lives, “he said.

However, he added that the rescue operation was being hampered by rising temperatures near the building due to fire and smoke.

“We had to stop then because it was impossible to rescue people,” said Dayananda.

Dayananda, a father of two, a resident of Bihar, who came to Delhi about 25 years ago and has been living in Mundka ever since.

The crane operator said he did nothing “extraordinary”.

“As human beings, we have a responsibility to help others. I don’t think I’ve done anything extraordinary. God has strange ways. He put me there so I could help people, ”he said.

Malati was one of the first people rescued by Dayananda.

“I can’t imagine what would have happened if there were no cranes around to carry out the rescue operation. He came as a ‘Messiah’ and saved so many people, “he said.

Another woman rescued by Tiwari said she would not have survived without him.

“We were looking for a way to escape. But the whole staircase was smoky. We were terrified, someone told me there was a crane. I ran towards it. I don’t think I would have survived without Dayananda Tiwari, “said Mamata.

Budget 2022: Ministry of Finance to clarify doubts about the applicability of TDS on benefits

The Indian finance ministry will clarify doubts about the applicability of the new tax deducted at source (TDS) provision on business or profession benefits or perquisites, a senior tax official was quoted as saying in a PTI report on Wednesday.

Kamlesh C. Varshani, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance, said that such benefits and paragraphs are always taxable, whether received in income and cash or in kind.

In the budget of 2022-23, the provision of withholding tax (TDS) on such national income was introduced to prevent tax revenue leakage. The new provision will take effect on July 1, 2022, the report said.

A new section of the IT Act, 194R, has been introduced in the budget, which requires that at the rate of 10 per cent withholding tax be levied by any person, if a resident exceeds Rs. This type of resident business or profession.

Watch G Business Live TV streaming below:

“This (benefits and perquisites) is an area where no one pays taxes despite having business and career benefits and perquisites … there is definitely a loophole and so this section 194R. Whatever the doubt, we are going. Before 1 July. To clarify the practical difficulties, “said Version Industry Chamber while talking to members of Assocham.
He said benefits like free medicine samples obtained by doctors, or free IPL tickets, foreign airline tickets obtained during business or occupation should be disclosed in income and income tax returns.
Giving an example, Version says that if a doctor receives a free sample, it should be shown as a benefit or advantage and that it is income, regardless of whether the pharma company is using it as a sales promotion.
He said the company could claim deductions for such sales promotion expenses, but that promotion would be a taxable income in the hands of the recipient. “Therefore you have to deduct TDS”.

Emphasizing that 194R applies to free samples obtained by physicians, Version said that the taxability of such benefits cannot be based on the fact that since free samples are not being sold, it is not revenue. “Free samples have a value,” he said.

APAC has lowest post-bid fraud rate: report

DoubleVerify (DV) has released its 2022 Global Insights Report (GIR), analyzing media quality and performance trends from one trillion impressions across more than 2,100 brands in 80 markets. The report provides a market-by-market analysis of the year-over-year (YoY) from January-December 2021, measuring video and display impressions across North America, LATAM, EMEA and APAC, including desktop and mobile web, mobile apps and Attached is TV (CTV).

According to the report, APAC’s lowest post-bid fraud rate is 1%, while ad fraud rate in India has declined by 5% per year (YoY) and is currently 0.5%. However, this does not mean that APAC does not contain fraud, it does indicate that pre-bid controls eliminate fraud before proceeding for post-bid blocking or monitoring.

In addition, worldwide, the number of fraudulent schemes uncovered by DV has increased by 70% annually from 2020 to 2021. In 2021, a number of schemes targeting CTV and video, the most complex of which were OctoBot, SneakyTerra, ViperBot and SmokeScreen. According to DV estimates, these schemes attempted to steal more than -8 6-8 million per month from advertisers, and CTV schemes could steal $ 140 million from publishers in 2021.

DV’s Global Insights report, published in 2017, reported 52% of display viewability and 59% of video views, said Mark Jagorsky, CEO of DoubleVerify. “Currently, they are close to 70% or more. In addition, we saw less for a second year in a row of brand security breaches. Based on our statistics, verification technology makes the Internet safer and more secure, ”he added.

According to the report, the big brands in the APAC region focus on visibility and provide it, with a 17% increase in video visibility in the region. In addition, APAC has the highest video visibility, with room for improvement in display visibility, five percentage points away from the IAB’s proposed 70% threshold. According to the report, DV has seen more ads in the mobile app on APAC than in other regions. Compared to desktop, mobile apps, and the mobile web, the app’s display and video viewing rates were highest (72.5% and 77.4%, respectively), with the lowest brand compatibility violation rates (4.4%). Furthermore, it noted that over the past year there have been significant improvements in the brand’s relevance and visibility as the growing impact of their commitment to quality and media validation was realized. Brand suitability violations in India have declined by 38% year on year and are now at 6.5%.

Nachiket Deole, Head of Sales, India, DoubleVerify, In the last few years, the issues of visibility, ad fraud and brand security in India’s digital advertising ecosystem have become more complex. “However, marketers and advertisers today are more aware and demanding of responsibility. They understand the underlying challenges and look at all components of digital media quality when evaluating their digital purchases. Therefore, the growing adoption of ad verification in India is no longer in its infancy, and GIR 2022 highlights the same. As the cost of digital advertising increases in the country, the advertising ecosystem needs to be integrated to create a safe and transparent environment and ensure media quality across channels, ”he said.
