Assam Rifles, Axis Bank and NIEDO have joined hands to establish Center of Excellence

Assam Rifles, Axis Bank and National Integrity and Educational Development Organization (NIEDO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a Center of Excellence and Wellness to secure a better future for the youth of Nagaland.

The program will mentor and guide children and help them in their future growth stories, as well as provide value-based education including soft skills training, critical life skills, leadership training, personal conditioning, wellness programs, vocational training, personality development and end-to-end grooming. According to Lt. Col. Sumit K. Sharma, Public Relations Officer, Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North), under the Director General of Assam Rifles, Corporate Partner Axis Bank and Inspector General of Headquarters, Assam were also trained. Rifles (North), Kohima.

“The center, named after the late Captain N. Kangaroo, the MVC Center of Excellence and Wellness, will be located in Chisweima, on the outskirts of Kohima,” he said.

The project is envisioned as a one-year full residential coaching and mentoring facility to prepare students for competitive exams in economically weaker and disadvantaged departments in Nagaland. It is expected to be fully operational for the first batch of 30 students by the first week of July 2022.
